Fading SID files in AutoCAD Map 2004

I am using SID files for a city limits exhibit and unfortunatly our color printer is printing the aerials very dark. I've seen SID files faded for better printing in Microstaion V8 and was curious if this could be done in Autocad 2004.

Any help would be appreciated.

Not so sure if this was possible in the earlier versions of cad like 2004, but when you have your sid image loaded, zoom to the extents or to where you can see it's border, then double click on the boarder. The "image adjust" screen appears where you can change the brightness, contrast, and fade levels. Fade the image to about 50-60 and hit ok. See how that works for ya.

That worked perfect, thank you so much.

I actually had to adjust the contrast and brightness as "fade" had the opposite effect of darkening it.

Thanks again.
