Exprot joined and queried data to plain CAD

I'm finding Map particularly infuriating today......(more so than usual)...!!!!

I have connected to various shp files and then queried by circle to get my area of interest. I now want to "export" this data as plain AutoCAD entities but can't seem to do it with any success.

Can anyone point me in the correct direction...??

Thanks

Hmm, sounds like you wanna joke with us, man: a power-user with 1630 posts is NOT allowed to ask this kind of questions.. Anyway, let's joke:

1] _MAPIMPORT those shapes

2] _MAPTRIM everything by circle

3] finally _WBLOCK the remaining objects, or SAVE AS dxf rel.12

1630 posts in total - but considerably fewer relating to MAP problems....!!!!

I've done the first 2 steps: it's getting the shp files data to a CAD format that's causing the problem -  I tried the _mapexportcurrentmaptodwg but nothing is getting exported.

EDIT - Just tried in  2012 and _mapexportcurrentmaptodwg worked fine on a local drive and have now tried in 2013 with a local drive which also worked fine.

Conclusion - probable network access issue causing the export to fail..??

after the connect and add by query. map explorer, right click the layer and export data to sdf.  you can then map import the sdf with create OD  to cad
