Exporting Polygons to ArcView 3.2

When attempting to export closed polygons to an ArcView shapefile using Map 5 it only selects 3185 of 4426 polygons.
Why does Map fail to recognize all of the polygons when exporting.

Hello,

here are my thoughts on this issue:

How are you selecting your objects for
export?  Are you using automatic selection?  How about any layer
filters?  Also, are all the layers turned on where the polygons
exist?

Regards,

An other problem with this issue is that islands in areas will not act as holes in ArcView. There will be to sepparated shapes on top of each other. There will be a patch comming out for this.

Be sure that what you think are polygons are, in fact, CLOSED polygons. The closing vertices must meet to the Nth decimal place. A method to check is to perform a BPOLY in the area and see if the new polygon exports. If so, it means the polygon(s) in question has a closure error. Even if it's out to the 6th decimal place........Cadcare brings up a good point regarding islands. A workaround is to select the polygons that represent "islands" or "holes" LAST when selecting for export. That way, they will be in "front" in the ArcView display and can be colored via symbology to actually appear as an "island" or "hole".

Who will the patch be coming from? I have tried using "group complex
polygons" and attaching object data to the polgons but Map does not seem
to reverse the direction of the enclosed polygon.
