Hi everyone!
If found that sometimes I need to have shapefile ony with one type of attributes.
It's easy to do querry in data connect but somehow I didn't find a way to export querred objects to independede shapefile.
Any ideas? Thank you.

One way would be:
Perform a Zoom Extents, getting the only querred objects, ready to be _MAPEXPORTed.
P.S.
You can split automatically a huge shapefile by attribute, with the opensource Qgis.
two more - after you back up you original shp data just to be sure you can restart if all fails

after you query, save to layer this does not delete any data but saves the current display of you data if you want it in another map. this allows you to maintain one data file and display it easily using layer files to put the data in teh map in various queried results. at the lower edge of the query window there is Options, save expression & load expresion. Save your query expresson so you reload it later to rerun your query after changing data and resave to the layer file.

in windows explorer, find your shp file files and select them, ctrl c, ctrl v, leaving the pasted files highlighted, F2 and rename the pasted shp files to something like "LotsGT5acres.shp". put that shp in a map, select and delete all lots <5 acres and check it in. you now have a shp with those lots >5 acres only in the data.

Well done, Dave, but in the second point you don't need to duplicate the shapeset in Explorer.
You simply _MAPIMPORT the original shape, _QSELECT by Area > 5 acres, finally _MAPEXPORT of _Previous selected objects to a brand new .SHP
Yes, works also. And there is also bulk copy for the adventurous. Let's see what the OP can get done with the info so far and add help as needed.

Hi,
Thanks for replays! I would say this is traditional method, but is there a way to do it through Data Connect?
For me Data connect is a little bit more easer process, especially for querry. There possibility to export in some formats, however not in shp.
Thanks
You can add to the map by query then export to SDF format just what you queried in.
If you need it to shp format you can bulk copy to a new folder.
