I am now dealing with this class description error with 2011. What a pain. I believe it can be both a registry and drawing issue.
I do know when I went to intsall civil3d 2012 when it came out, It messed up civil3d 2011. The .net libaries were messed up when it came to COM. I just stopped programning with COM. My Civil3d 2011 continued to work fine. Then back in June this year (2013) I started getting this class description error. Never have seen it before. It's now permeating the agency I'm doing some work for. Funny thing is everything works fine except for this stupid dialog box. Audits, recover do nothing.
I've spent too much of my own time trying to get this fixed. I now consider this an Autodesk problem. The agency will have to talk to Autodesk to get it fixed as far as I'm concerned.
It appears Autodesk acknowledges nothing about this as far as I can tell. At least they could come up with a fix or allow us to turn of that dialog box off.

May I ask what you are speaking about? In the thread here I see nothing about any class description error, nothing about COM libraries, nothing about programming, ...?
