What version of Map3D and what OS are you using? 32 or 64 bit? Have you created an ODBC connection to the Excel file?

Hello,

thx for reply.

my Map3D version is 2013. The OS is windows 7 64 bit.

I don't have created an ODBC connection to the Excel file. I'm a rookie for Map3d trying to learn to use it because for my job is important to learn how to use a GIS manage charts and add information or keep information from it.

thx for reply

In my Map2006, it works according the attached ODBC setup: try with my example DWG/XLS (se non capisci qualcosa, scrivimi in privato).

Hello,

thx to reply.

I try to set the connection using the files you attached to your previous email. Doesn't work.

The screenshots are a little different maybe for the version and maybe because on my pc i don't have this Microsoft jet 4.0 ole db provider (see screenshot 2)

I attach an exemple of what i try to do.

1. i give a name to the connection

2. i select the  MS ole db provider for odbc drivers ( but i'm not sure it's right)

3. here i can set the source of my db ( Excel file)

4. here i set readwrite

5. here is the resume of the connection

6. After this i lunch the plugin for the connection i browse to the folder where i stored my Excel file but here appears this warning.

thx

Diego

Hello everybody.

Thank you for your help.

I understand that is a problem of drivers.

I make a research on web and i see that now there is a new driver for windows 7 64bit and i will soon try to install it and to use it to import excel files into map3d.

I'll post news very soon.

Thank to all that give me help.

Good last day on earth...

Bye
