Creating Polygon Topology

hello,

I have a specific problem.
I work on a project to transfer a paper-based master plan in a digital form.
We digitized it allready and put a normal dtext letter inside areas to mark
the land-use.

Is there any elegant way to create a Polygon Topology, that would include
this letter in a table (to take it as a centroid)?

Or any other way, the mail goal is to export this land use to an ArcView
format.

Thanks!
Bostjan

When defining your topology, you have 3 elements, Centroids, Links, and
Polygons. Use your linework for the polygons, and select the text elements
for your centroids. The text will then become centroids.

Hi,

Thank you for you time, to answer.
But, the focus of my problem is, how to put the value of the text inside the
Topology table. Now I have 4 fields:

id
area,
perimeter and
links quantity

But is there any way, that I could get inside the table, the value of the
text, in this case used as a centroid. For example F for forrest.

Sincerely
Bostjan Cotic

You have to define an object data table for your text values first. Then
populate the object data table by automatically generating links to your
text. Once the text linked to the data table, the data field will be
appended to your topology table and the values from the data will be there
as well.
