Converting from Lambert to UTM?

Using the mapimport4 module I have tried to find a way to convert a Lambert Conformal Conic, NAD 27, meters Arcinfo Coverage file to UTM Nad 83 in feet but have had no luck with it coming in at the correct coordinates. Does anyone know if this is even a capability of Map? The closest thing I can find is in the World/Continental category, it is a projection of Double Standard Parallel variation of Lambert Conformal Conic and the Datum is World Geodetic System of 1984. This brings it in at what is apparently the correct size but not the correct location. I would greatly appreciate any help you could give on this.

Hi Curtis,

This is definitely possible in Map. If you cannot
find the coordinate system you want, you can define your own. Have a look in the
online Help for topics on defining a new coordinate system. Of course you
willneed to know the parameters associated with the coordinnate system
definition yoou want to add.

Cheers,

David
