1] you attach a drawing A into a drawing B to convert the A's CRS into the B's CRS (by query)
2] you import a resource A into a drawing B, to get a physical copy of A in B (A must be locally stored, it will be saved inside B)
3] you connect a resource A into a drawing B, to get a virtual copy of A in B (A may be stored locally or remotely, but it won't be physically saved inside B, but only as a link)
In other words: _MAPIMPORT acts like _INSERT, while _MAPCONNECT acts like _XREF.
Hi antoni and thanks for your comment. Just a quick question? si if I understand it correct when we import method the edits will affect on the source(original) data as well?
Am I correct?

No, using data connect will change the orginal data "IF" that data connection allows it. If you connect to a feature table in an Oracle Spatical database you must have the rights to write back to that database, with a connection to an ESRI shp file any changes can be write back to that file provide you have rights under the OS (Windows) to right to the folder that shp file is in. Also the dwg attach will allow you to change the orginal dwg.
