Can't Query for IS NULL

I've got a drawing with a Link Template attached to a SQL Server
database using ODBC. When I try to construct a query via an SQL
condition to return where Name IS NULL I get the following:

Warning: Storage Error: Invalid key column types.
and I get no results.

The same query against the same Link Template via DBConnect works
fine. Any ideas?
