Can't close drawing

After working on a drawing in Autodesk Map 5, saving my changes, and trying to close drawing, I get the following message: "Autocad cannot close Drawing1.dwg, because there is a command still active. Please complete the command and try again". There is not an active command. The only way to get out of the drawing is to go to the task manager and stop running Autocad. Doing this results in the loss of all changes made to the drawing. Please Advise

What happens when you hit the escape
key?

size=3>Hi,

This error is typically caused by using the Today
page when opening AutoCAD (or Map).  Basically when you browse in the Today
page to open a file, the drawing1.dwg remains open.  Thus when you go to
close the DWG, you receive that error that there is an active command.
Typically hitting ESC a few times resolve the problem, but sometimes the only
way to close the session is to kill the process form task manager.
