No, it not the first time.
Acad2007 was released before Win Vista, Autodesk did released a VISTA
compatibility pack to Acad2007 besides it SP. However, the Vista
compatibility pack did not make into one of the verticals, AcadMap (I do not
know other verticals for this), since AcadMap2008 was on its way out.

I think it's this "rushing out" that got us to where we are today. This is
the first time that they have decided not to release a service pack for a
vertical, though. This is very frustrating - the new version will have it's
own warts. I would just like to make the version that I have "work". Two
thumbs down, Autodesk.

Although Autodesk promote Acad vertical siblings, such as Acad MAP, but it
has been happened often that some fixes, bonus add-ons, service packs are
only available to vanilla Acad, not the verticle products. Since Acad2010 is
on the way out next month, I do not think Autodesk would bother make Acad
Map2009 SP2, just like what they did to AcadMap2007/8: they are too busy
rushing out AcadMap2010 now to look back on Acad Map2007/8/9.

I am having trouble with a few issues with AutoCAD Map 3D 2009 that have
been resolved (in AutoCAD) by installing AutoCAD Update 2. Can somebody
tell me how to apply these bug fixes to Map? The AutoCAD service pack was
released over 3 months ago, yet I can't find the corresponding Map update
anywhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
