Failed to open FDO connection

Hi All,

I have some dwg files, shp files, images, and sdf files  in my C:\ . I am using AutoCAD Map 3D 2011. When I try to open one of the dwg files it is showing a warnng message "Failed to open FDO connection".

Could anyone suggest on this regard?

The path to a data file (shp, sdf etc) in the dwg is not the same as the path on your computer. After you open the dwg go into the dataconnect and reconnect to the data file(s).

I appreciate for the information you provided. Do I need to reconnect the data every time I open the file?
