Hello,
our costumer uses an PostgreSQL/PostGIS to managed his GIS-data.
With AutoCAD Map 2013 we can read and write the data using the Postgresql-FDO-connector.
Now the costumer want's to use some features from the Enterprise Industry Model, but Autodesk only supports Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server and SQLite.
Is there an option to extend the Enterprise IM, so that Autocad can support other databases?
Any hint would be helpful, how to extend the connection identifiers or how to create our own connection identifier.
It is not possible to change the PostgreSQL to different database.
Only scenario could be storing the industry model data in a MS SQL, except the geo-database-tables.
The best sceanrio would be creating our own connection identifier so that PostgreSQL can handle the whole IM.
Hello
NO Industry Models (coming from TopoBase) are only supported with Oracle, SQLite and MS SQL-Server !
Maybe we will have a PostGIS Industry Model in a future release of MAP ...

What does "maybe in a future release" mean?
How high are the chances that the interface will be in the next release (MAP 2014)?
Hello
With MAP 2012, we get Oracle (coming from TopoBase 2010/2011) + SQLite industry models
With MAP 2013, we get SQL Server industry models
As far as I know, the demand on PostGIS for industry models is "low", so ...
But we have to wait a few monthes ?!
