copy part of polyline intersect with rectangle

Hello Everyone,

Could you please help me with something

I need to fiind a way to copy part of polyline  when the polyline intersect with a rectangle.Put that part of the polylines in separate layout.

But doing this thru autocad  2008 vba macro

A know there is something with getboundingbox and interechwith.

Hi,

A viewport should make the clipping for you, but maybe you want another thing, in this case, just copy the original polyline (in order to keep the original) and trim the copy using sendcommand  (there is no trim or extrim method in VBA, the tricky part would be selecting the right side of the polyline) . Otherwise you will need to implement a clipping algorithm.

Finally, yes, intersectwith and getboundingbox method should help a lot.
