XREF - Macro to change file location

We have several files which were moved into a PDM Vault from a network folder. Due to file references in some of those files, some of the company logos are not pointing to the new location in the Vault, and instead it is pointing back to the network folder.

Each of these logos is named COMPANY.bmp, and they are all pointing in the same original location, //omega/logos/COMPANY.bmp

This is causing issues when we update these files because we cannot check-in the files into the Vault due to the external reference on the network.

I would like to create a macro which will update the XREF (Named "COMPANY") from the old file location, to the new file location //Vault/Library/COMPANY.bmp

I could not do an action record to replace this reference due to the XREF.

Regards,

Marc

Experiment at the commandline by typing -XREF (there is a dash in the name) and see where you might get stuck. Post back your findings.

PS: you may well need to include the full path name starting with a drive letter. You can also substitute a / (in a macro that's a pause request) with \\.
