windows 7

I've recently switch to Windows 7 desktop. I've increased memory and included an advanced video card. The only problem with running Autocad is using "Polar Tracking" and "Dynamic Input" together. When in the line command (for example) the mouse jumps like "Grid" would be on. Also, certain comands have slown down. To temporary solve this problem, I only use "Polar Tracking" and it works great. Does anyone have any ideas as to why? Is this a setting mistake?
Thank you in advance

Autodesk posts video card drivers optimized for their AutoCAD product, not
all video cards are supported, check it out and see if that helps.

It sounds like the video processor is having difficulty. I had this problem in 2010 Civil 3D. I haven't installed 2011 yet so I don't know if the problem still persists. The Windows 7 Aero implementation was the culprit. Aero adds all sorts of pretty features to Windows 7, like transparent window borders, and previews of open windows from the taskbar. Disabling Aero really doesn't change the appearance much and the new Windows 7 actions like Aero Shake still work fine.

To disable Aero, go to Control Panel -> Sytem and Security -> System and click "Advanced system settings" on the left menu bar. A new window will appear and you should be on the Advanced tab. Click on the Settings button in the Performance section. A new window will appear with visual effects options. Uncheck "Enable desktop composition." I think this is a problem with AutoDesk and not Windows 7. Aero works fine with every other program I'm using. Let me know if this helps.

You don't mention what version of AutoCAD LT you have, but there is a known
issue with cursor performance in AutoCAD LT 2010 with Windows 7 Aero mode.
The workaround, as you have found, is to turn Dynamic Input off.

... Or move away from Win7's Aero mode to Windows Classic.
