WHAT DO I DO WITH THE FILE IN FILE RECOVERY MANAGER THAT APPEARS AFTER A CRASH

Hi,

I would like to know how to manage the file that turns up in the file recovery manager after AutoCAD crashes.  Do I simply name it as the file that crashed and replace that file with this one in my drawing folder ? or do I do something else with it?  Could someone give me the steps to handle it.

Thanks.

First things first

If it has more than one file listed with the name of your drawing which crashed. CHECK THE TIMES of the files, and then all you need to do is double click on the latest one.

This will be the one it saved before the crash. You can then either give it a new name, leave the name as is, or overwrite your old drawing with this one. You can then carry on with your work
