Viewport disabled on panel - LT 2015

I just recently upgraded from LT 2010 to 2015 and right off the bat noticed my Viewport buttons are disabled on the panel and have to type in the viewport command to initiate.  Any ideas?

Which 'viewport" button(s) exactly are you selecting? the ones for paperspace layouts are grayed out when not in a layout tab, the ones for modelspace are only present when you are in a modelspace tab.

Hi Dean,

Please see the attached.  I'm in paperspace and not able to select a new viewport button and instead need to type in "viewport".  I'm a complete novice to Acad but when I had 2010, I simply went to the view ports tab and selected new.

Ha! you didn't read my last sentence 🙂

LAYOUT tab is where LAYOUT viewport tools are located (last tab on the right): your screenshot is for modelspace tools.
