User input

Can someone show me how to return a variable after a \ is used?

^C^C_setenv;plinewidth;$m=$(getvar,plinewid);plinewid;.03;pline;\;plinewid;$m=$(getenv,plinewidth);

What I originally was trying to say was how would I allow unlimited user inputs (pline) then return the pline width to 0....

You don't, unless you truly want to restrict how many segments of plines the
user can draw. In your example, they get to start a segment but don't get to
finish it.

You could just provide a second button to reset plinewid. Otherwise you are
going to have many buttons, one for each segment count your user needs. LT
offers not dummy-proof conveniences.
