Trying to reinstall AutoCAD 2012

I am trying to re-install AutoCAD 2012.

I cannot uninstall AutoCAD LT 2012 and AutoCAD LT 2008.

I have PC Tools Performance Toolkit and PC Tools Internet Security.  I disabled the PC Tools Internet Security.

I have tried to remove the program through the Control Panel but both programs remain on the list and when I click to remove 2008 it says "This action is only valid for products that are currently installed."

When I click to remove 2012 it says "please wait while windows configures AutoCAD 2012." Then it shows bars and when bars are full it closes and the program remains on the list.

deleted all the fils and registry entries as directed in the uninstall instructions but I still cannot get it to install.

Please help.

Backup any Customizations that you have if you have not already done so.

Just so we know did you follow this advice:

Remove Autodesk Products:
http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?linkID=9240817&id=2887771&siteID=123112

Grab this program REVO UNISTALLER (the free version) and use its most aggressive setting if it brings Autodesk products up. It may not find a remnant if the uninstall is hosed up.

You may need to install 2012 again even though it may not work as well as the 2008 to get these to uninstall.

If you already deleted the Windows Registry entires, you just removed all the "uninstall" directions the uninstaller needs to complete it's task: hence the messages you get.

Kind of like taking the tires off the car then finding it won't drive off the lot 🙂

Did you backup your Windows registry before editing it? Then restore. If not, you probably ought to seek help from Autodesk direct at one or more of the following areas:
