Trial version dxf file-Good after purchase?

Hello. First post....of many to come later I'm sure. I used a trial version of AC LT and created a .dxf file. I tried opening the file on a friends computer who has an authorized, paid for Autocad program. It would not open. Is this because it was created on the trial version? And, when I purchase the software will I be able to open and use this file? Thanks,

Jerry

Trial is the same as the purchased, it just times out after 30-days.

Are you both using the same exact version of AutocAD/LT?
Did your computer report an error when creating the DXF? Does it report an error when it opens the DXF?
Does the other LT seat report an error?

What does "would not open" mean to all of us way over here that can't see over your shoulder?

DXF files have versions, did you save it to the correct version for the other user?

I posted this in another forum and solved the problem. There was something else in the file that somehow corrupted it. I copied and pasted just the drawing to a new file and it works.
