treanfering layouts

Hi all,

I've set up an 8.5 x11paper space layout in one file and would now like to transfer it into another drawing file.

What is the best way of doing this?

Two Ways:

ADCENTER - Drag and Drop from one file to the other

or

Right click Layout tab, From Template, Find your template, Choose the layout, Click OK, etc...

You can decide which is easier.

And make this file that you have setup a Template and alsways have the Layout wothout any other additional input needed.

when i have both files opened in design center and open the layout foldre of the originating file and and try and drag and drop it into the destination file and it doesn't seem to work . do i have to have both files closed to perform this action?

Both Open.

Target drawing is active in the Workspace.

Drag from the other Drawing from ADCENTER to the Workspace area of the Target Drawing
