transferring files

Is there a way to send a DWG file to an ACAD user so that the file can
be plotted but not edited by the other party.

I've used PLT files for this but not everyone is comfortable plotting
using PLT files.

Take a look at making PDFs instead. Basically it's a PLT file with it's own
viewer that's not plotter-specific.

Lots of discussion on this in the print-plot group. A search for PDF at
http://discussion.autodesk.com/
should turn them up.

Enjoy,
Stef

To Stef;

I am glad to see your name again on these
newsgroups! Missed your knowledge,
solutions and kindness in your replies.

Also have noticed the infrequent postings
from quite a few of the past regular subscribers.
