tool panels and tool palettes

Is it possible to reference a tool palette command from a tool button or toll panel? For example, we have the need to draw poly lines on a particluar layer. It's easy to do that from the tool palette but not so much from a tool button. Can we create a tool button that references the tool palette command and its properties?

There are many macros around here to do what you want: but I'm not sure why
clicking on a button or a panel is any quicker than clicking on a TP?

Let me re-phrase that... the above is available around here, not your
initial TP tap.

Thank you Dean. I've slowly come around on Tool Palettes and now that we are using them it's amazing what strong tools they are. I keep expecting thenext release of AutoCAD to transfer the same power to Tool Panels and Tool Buttons. Since it seems that the interface is going in the tool panels direction, it would be nice to set up up primary commands on panels and use tool palettes for lesser used commands.

the thing about tool palettes that makes them awkward is they are best used in a multi-monitor set up.
