system halted after doing Regen or Zoom

Hi guys,

I'm facing a problem that each time after I did Regen or Zoom, the system halted and then recovered only after several minutes. I guess maybe it is related to special drawings, because it only happened when working with the drawings which was transferred from an .iges 3D drawing. Anyway, it is a really a pain for me.

Did anyone meet the same case by accident before? Could you share with me the real cause and solutions?

Hello

Just a few ideas : 

1) Have you purged theses DWGs ?

Command: PURGE

2) Have you tried to open these DWGs in Recover mode ?

Command: RECOVER

3) Maybe you could install the SP 2 for ACAD LT 2010 :

Hi Pat,

Just tried and it has been proved that it does not work with "PURGE", and it did work with "RECOVER", however, some line and arc segments were lost afterwards. At the end, I installed the SP 2 and it works perfectly now without any side affects. By the way, do you know what was updated in SP 2 by Autodesk?
