Sync settings not transferring workspace

Not sure if this is by design, but when I set up LT2013 and sync to cloud at LOCATION A, the settings at LOCATION B get updated fine. But it doesn't bring accross the changes to the CUI / Ribbons / Workspace from LOCATION A.

I have checked and have all options to sync enabled, bar printers.

Can someone please advise if this should work ? I would expect the appearance and workspace should sync.

Or should I be doing anything else ?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks Dean....I had read that and hadn't noticed that it confirms that workspaces should sync.

But mine isn't. And I have pretty much done what is discussed on there. I know it is syncing, because if I change the colour of the background at one location, it updates at the other within minutes.

Any other reasons for workspaces not syncing ?

Thanks,

Hi,

Have you tried forcing the sync in the Online tab > Sync my settings?

Do you get a message that asks if you want to keep syncing the custom settings?

I changed the workspace in both computers and at some point I got a message asking me if I wanted to keep my local settings or substitute by the online settings, has this ever displayed on your machine?

The workspace is syncing OK here up to now.

Which Autodesk programs do you have installed?

Cheers,

Luciane

Hi,

Just wanted to check if the issue persists.

Hi Luciane,

I appreciate your time to reply.

No, it is still not working. In answer to your questions. I have not tried forcing the workspace at Location B yet - I have not manually transferred the custom workspace.

I have raised this as a subscription request and a product support specialist is on the case, but no resolution as yet.

I will post when I have news.

Thanks again.

OK, give the "sync my settings" a try and let us know what works for you.

I think I am there. I needed to do it in a certain way.....hope this was not too newbie, but I did this:

  1. Sync setting at Location A
  2. Select 'use local settings', confirm 'discard online settings'
  3. Sync setting at Location B
  4. Select 'use online settings'
  5. Restart Autocad.

This has nowpicked up workspaces and ribbon setups etc.

Many thanks.
