setting main library or dictionary

Having problems setting a dictionary in 2002LT. Using Tool, Options, Files, Dictionary - can't get the main or custom (.cus) to set. Is there any default dictionary in this Autocad Version? Also, attempted to use the main Word dictionary but couldn't find any others with the *.cus extension for Autocad?

Make one: use Windows NOTEPAD, type in a word, save the file with
a CUS extension.

I tried with notepad & .cus

It wouldn't load into the main dictionary so I linked it into the custom dictionary. (the main wouldn't allow me to choose or browse anything)

When using spell, it still comes back with the message - no dictionary specified, could not start speller.....

Any other options?

Do a repair install of LT2002: back up your ACLT.MNS file first.

Thanks again. Tried the reinstall and still no success.

Any other options? What about the process to link to MS Word?

SPELL command, select some text, use the button on the pop-up to make the
change: HELP explains more about command usage. WORD's help tells you what
your dictionary file is.

I've been using autocad lt for many years. Never had this come up before.

When I try and use the spell command, I get the error:

NO DICTIONARY SPECIFIED, COULD NOT START SPELLER.

Any other ideas? thanks

Do a full un-install of LT as outlined in HELP: remove all traces in the
Windows registry, the Shared folder, everything and everywhere. Restart your
PC. Log in as ADMIN (if in Win2000/NT4/XPPro, and if not, upgrade), turn off
all running apps, do a full install.

If that does not work, back up all your files, wipe your harddrive clean,
and start all over your Windows is messed up.
