Scaling + xplode causes entity explosion

Hi!
If I insert a block, rescale and explode it, it seems like all the entities (plines etc) within the block are also exploded. This doesn´t happen if I just explode the block without rescaling. Anyone know if there is a way to avoid this? Hope you understand what I mean.. /Patrik

Can you post the block in question?
Also, what method of Insertion, Scaling settings, and which Explode command
and any options?

Say for example that I make a rect /pline) as a dwg and use insert command in a new drawing. Exploding this (X, or explodebutton) will give me a rectangle, but if I scale it (scalecommand or properties) first and then explode it, i get lines instead. Tried LT + ACAD 2006 and forward.. I would like to insert a dwg file, scale it in different X,Y scales and then explode it. /P

I can't replicate in 2006 or 2008, might be my block, so please post a block
where you have this problem and details on scaling and insertion and let's
explore.

Hi again Dean, (by the way thanks for all great information during the years), it always happens when i insert a dwg file as a block. Try this: draw a rectangle, use wblock command to create (convert) the rectangle to a block in the drawing. If you explode it you get the rectangle back. If you instead scale it in propertiesdialog X,Y or both and then explode it you should get lines (I do..) This gives me some problems when inserting construction details (as dwg files) kind regards Patrik

I can only get it to explode if X and Y scaling are not the same: otherwise
the Pline remains intact any other uniform scaling in 2006.
