Regular hatch pattern in LT 2014

How can i set the regular hatch pattern in AutoCAD LT 2014?

setvar hpname "ansi31"

After installation it is set to ANGLE.

I tried to save this with my template.dwg, but it is not there after a restart.

I want to save this in the general LT settings.

I found solutions here for AutoCAD, but not for LT.
Am i right, that LT did not support lsp-files?

You are correct LT does not support lisp files. And the default hatch is always ANGLE for metric drawings

You should create a template file with ALL your desired settings in it, then always start with that template.

A couple of weeks ago, i accepted the answer that ANGLE is always the regular hatch pattern. But i am still working on this.

I saved my template file several times after i used SETVAR HPNAME "ANSI31". No effect on the regular hatch pattern after a restart.

I  added a userdefined pattern with the name ANGLE at the end of the definition files aclt.pat and acltiso.pat. The description in the pat-file says, that the userdefined definition is preferred when using the same name twice. Did not work after a restart.

In the meantime i had the idea, to trick the system. I edited aclt.pat and acltiso.pat. First i exchanged the headlines/names of the definitions of ANGLE and ANSI31. That did not work after a restart. Then i exchanged the definitions under the headlines. Did not work either.

By the way: The unedited files are of course still there, renamed to *.old.

Problem solved by myself!

Make all hidden folders/files visible in Explorer.

Search for acadlt.pat and acadltiso.pat

On my cmputer found in two folders:

Search your personal windows folder for
AppData/Roaming/Autodesk/Autocad LT 2014/R20/xxx/Support/

xxx are 3 digits for your language, "deu" in my case.

and

Programs/Autodesk AutoCAD LT 2014/UserDataCache/xx-xx/Support

xx-xx as above, "de-de" in my case.

Both files found in both pathes.

On my computer, *.pat files are associated with graphics editor GIMP. i cannot open them directly.

I cannot edit the files directly in the Programs/... path.
Copy them to another folder.

After copying them again for backups, rename them to *.txt.

Open with Windows Editor etc.

The files are readable and easy to understand.

Replace the definition code for ANGLE with the definition code for ANSI31.

Save them, rename them back to *.pat and copy/replace them back to both original locations.

DONE!

This was my quick and dirty way. I studied the *.pat files later and found a comment at the bottom of the files. It says that after this comment is the space for definitions of own patterns or for manipulated original patterns. I like to do things the right way and will try this when time allows. Meanwhile my manipulation works.
