"Non Autodesk DWG. This DWG file was saved by a software application that was
not developed or licensed by Autodesk. Autodesk cannot guarantee the
application compatibility or integrity of this file."
In opening some drawings made by a Non-AutoDesk program, I get the above message. There does not appear to be any problem with the drawings, I can work with them no problem with AutoCad, but the message seems to remain even after saving the drawing with AutoCad.
I know that setting DWGCHECK to 0 can suppress the message, but is there a way of getting rid of the message for good.
Thanks for any help,
Doug

Solved by hwalker. Go to Solution.
I only use LT2009, but I've had this problem and here is my workaround.
1. Open up the affected drawing and copy EVERYTHING in model space into the windows clipboard
2. Start a new blank drawing.
3. Paste the clipboard into your new drawing.
4. Save the drawing.

hwalker,
It appears that your method works. it looks like I have to do it with both Model and Paper Space since Paper Space for this customer contains their border and some other entities.
I will have to figure out if I can do this with a script file using Autocad LT 2012.
Thanks,
Charles,
Wblock, selecting the entire drawing results in the "Non Autodesk DWG...." message
Thanks for letting me know and the follow up.

I appreciate all the suggestions from the users for my problem here.
My suggestion to AutoDesk would be to drop the message that says "Non Autodesk Dwg..." and only give a message if there are Corrupted or Unknown entities in a drawing.
Thanks,
Doug
