Question About Autosnap

I have the magnet setting OFF, and the Object Snap ON.

I draw a line, then when I add a second line, it automatically starts at an ENDPOINT, never at a MIDPOINT.

I can turn Object Snap OFF, and it stops, but I really need  to start lines at the nearest OSnap, not just the nearest ENDPOINT.

Just curious, since this is new, is there a different setting besides these two I'm using??

I assume that you have MIDpoint checked on?

What is your OSMODE Variable set to?

If you want it to always start at the MIDPOINT, youo need to only have the MIDPOINT object snap set (or actively type it).

OR

If you are going to have many other Osnaps set at the same time, them you need to ensure you are always near the osnap you want (midpoint of the line) and not nearest another osnap (endpoint based on your post) for it to work.

It was 4133.

I changed it to 16383, and I'm all set.

As usual, Thanks a million!
