Proxy & Tools Questions

Our GBIS group recently upgraded me to a new PC. They installed AutoCAD LT 2007 rather than the full version. Now I have some drawings that open with a window titled Proxiy Information and I don't seem to be able to turn that off. Any suggestions?

I also am not able to click on Tools, Inquiry, Distance (or Area) and have a result display. I click on the two points, but do not get a result. I can use dimension for distances to get what I need, but not for area. Any suggestions for this?

PROXYNOTICE variable, turn it off, usage explained in Help in LT.

That should take care of your first question I believe.

For the second, I'm going to take a wild guess since you do not really provide much to go on: your command line is set to only display 1 or 2 lines, instead of the minimum 3 lines and your dist/area answers are hidden. Expand the command line, or tap F2 key on your keyboard to see and confirm.
