Portable License Utility

Hi Y'all,

i'll be switching computers at work in a few days and i've got LT running on mine. i cant seem to find the portable license utility. is this available on lT? if it isnt, can i download it somewhere and still run it?

You have to have LT2005 and higher, the utility is in the
Start>Programs>AutoCAD LT folder and not in the program.

It would be simpler to just reinstall LT on the new computer
and re-authorize.

So we do not have to export our license from the old machine to the new one. We can simply use a fresh install and re-authorize. How does Autodesk know if we are replacing a old machine or just adding a new one?

Cool, that will save us some time setting up the new machine. The old machine was on a lease that is now up. IT will do a format and system restore before they return it to the OEM.
