Polyline Freezing

When I am in the middle of using the Poly-Line tool, the line disappears and all I am left with are the coordinates and my arrow that I can move. Everything else freezes and I have to restart the drawing.

LT version?
Windows version?
Does this happen in all files, including new files, or just in one file?

This happens in all files, and is periodic, but is something new. Did the update, thinking that might fix it, but it returned.

ACAD LT 2012

RAM= 4.00 GB

Graphics Card= Intel(R) HD Graphics Family

Integrated graphics card? You may need to turn off ALL of Win 7's bells and whistles to keep this from happening.

Your system may be underperforming based on those specs.

4 Gig of RAM is below minimum for Win 7, LT 2012, and if it is, an onboard (shared RAM) graphics card.

Looks like a laptop: turn off Win7's Aero Theme (use the Windows Basic Theme instead) and change LT2012's hardware acceleration setting (3DCONFIG command).
4-Gig is fine IMHO.

Letting my IT guy know all of this. This is the first for me, using a laptop with any ACAD. Of course I am the only one that know the most about ACAD here, so getting them to understand it all has been fun. Thanks again.

Thanks for the info, trying to get this to work.

regarding this: "change LT2012's hardware acceleration setting (3DCONFIG command). 4-Gig is fine IMHO. "

What do I change the acceleration to?

If it's on, turn it off.

If it's off, turn it on.

The objective is to "change the setting" to see if it helps.

Trying this. Haven't done enough in ACAD this past week to see if it triggers again. When we first tried it, we never got a dialogue box that popped up. This time we did. Thank you again for the help.
