plotting DWG to PDF

What step is needed to send pdf to file instead of plotter/printer. Currently if I click plot to file, it saves it as a .plt? Adobe can't rea a plt file.

Just plot the drawing. When you plot it, choose DWG To PDF.pc3 plotter.

See image below as reference.

I guess I didn't explain it clearly. When I choose to plot from DWG to PDF.pc it sends it to the printer. What I want is to send it to a file. When I click on save to file it saves it as a .plt which is not a pdf. Adobe can't read a .plt. This is my dilemma.

Sounds like your PC3 file was redefined to ddo something else entirely: PC3 files are not drivers per-se, they can be just redirect-files.

Click on the PROPERTIES button on that pop-up shown above your response and find out what/where it is set up to do.
