Plot not centered despite "Center Plot" box checked...

I am using 2000 LT, and plotting to an HP 350C (E/A0) plotter. I've been having my fair share of problems plotting, but this is really frustrating me. I've tried reinstalling the plotter in Windows (Printer Setup), I've tried using AutoCAD's Plotter Wizard, I've tried the PlotFix program from Autodesk, and I've tried downloading the latest and greatest drivers from HP's DesignJet website. What next?????

First, make sure you have Plot Update patch installed for
LT2000.

 

Second, Center Plot only works if you are printing/plotting
from ModelSpace: it has no effect if you are printing from PaperSpace or while
in a viewport in PaperSpace. I also helps if the printed/plotted view actually
fits within the designated sheet when plotted.

Also, what are your settings for the plotter in the software,
and on the plotter itself?

 

If you are still having problems, post a sample of the file in
Customer Files discussion area for someone here to try.

I print from paper space all the time, and "center plot" works
equally well in paper space as it does printing from model space. Is this just a
fluke on my system?

Every 2000 product I have ever used (R2000, R2000i, LT2000,
Lt2000i, ADT2, ADT2i, ADT3) grays out the Center Plot selection
in Paper Space: so I guess your version is 'special', or I got
stuck with a lot of 'flukes'.

The whole point of PaperSpace is visible and detailed page layout
and control: unlike ModelSpace printing, even with Center Plot
option.

That's weird, Dean. I wonder which one of us has the "proper" version. Just
to confirm -- I am talking about the PLOT OFFSET area in the PLOT dialogue
box. I am able to check the CENTER THE PLOT box whether I am in paper space
or model space. And all my plots are centred unless I uncheck this box. It
works for me. Can anyone else out there describe how their version of
AutoCAD LT2000 behaves?
