open type fonts

Can AutoCAD LT use open type fonts, such as tekton pro and graphite? I put the fonts into my AutoCAD font folder, but when setting up text styles, these fonts are not available.

If you mean true type fonts, the answer is yes, but they must be
installed as Windows fonts, not copied into the AutoCAD fonts folder.

The font is installed as a Windows font and can be used in applications such as Word. When I open the font, it says it is an "OpenTypeFont, Digitally Signed, PostScript Outlines, Single Master". My Times New Roman font, on the other hand also is an OpenType Font, but when opened says it is an "OpenType Font, Digitally Signed, TrueType Outlines". The outlines style seems to be the only difference. Is this something that can be changed or should AutoCAD be reading it as is?

thanks

We're getting outside my area here, but it looks like the font you want
to use is a PostScript font. I'd do a search to see if I cound find the
font as a TrueType font.

Make sure your textfill is set to one or you will get an outline of each letter and a huge plot file.
