Object disappear

after selecting an object to move or copy and selecting a base point, while moving the object does not appear until I place it in the final location.  Was working fine and just quit.

Yes it is autocad 2014 LT

Hi, try typing in DRAGMODE at the command line and make sure it's set to auto.

Thank you very much, that fixed the problem.  

I have another question:  If I have more than two drawings open and in paper space the pan and zoom commands cause the view ports to lag and play catch up.  It doesn't happen when I only have one drawing open.  These are not large drawings with 3-5 viewports.  I have a new computer with 16g of ram.  It seems it is slow to regen.
