Newbie Template Question

I am a new LT user and I have a question.

I want to create my own drawing template complete with borders and areas at the bottom of the drawing for our company name, client name, drawing number, etc inside boxes. I can do all that, however here is my question.

How do I create a template 11x17 in size that will plot at a specified size, say 1"=1"? I created one on Friday but when I plotted it, my 1" test lines were not actually 1".

Any help would be appreciated.

Not to sound mean, but consider finding some free tutorials online, and read
through Help, to get passed this basic core function that must be mastered.

You don't explain whether you are plotting from paper or model space,
whether you created a viewport or not, whether you scaled the viewport or
not, and whether you any plot command parameters to get what you seek: your
post lacked details that would indicated where the problem is. You want to
try again, that might help.
