MTEXT Underline

When I underline a potion of text in MTEXT text editor dialog box, the other
text gets underlined when I exit the dialog box....any clues as to why...

You are probably using LT2000 and Windows2000, correct? You have two
options:

MTEXTED variable can be set to use an external editor, like Windows' own
NotePAD;

You upgrade to LT2000i or LT2002 and the problem goes away.
