Mtext box width changes when others open a drawing

When I create a drawing with Mtext and my co-worker opens the drawing the width of the box defaults to 0 and the grips to enlarge the box are all snapped to the insertion point.  How do we get the text boxes to stay the same??

Thanks!

Are you all using the same exact 100% identicl version of AutoCAD/LT?

For the .exe file details I have "Product Version R18.2.205.0" and she has "Product Version R18.2.51.0", but they are both 2012 LT. The programs were not purchased at the same time, is there a way to get her up to my version?

If you both are on LT2012, there should be no conflicts at all: can you confirm if the problem is limited to one file or if you can replcate it all the time in ALL files, even if you start a new empty file and add MTEXT?

If I start a new file and create a new mtext there are no issues. Could it be that I copied text from another version and somehow the format was also copied?

Source Formatting is always copied, you are correct.

Is there any way to fix it so it doesn't keep going back every time either of us open the drawing?

Without your file to review and repeat the issue here, there is no one universal advise to give: are you sure your problem is not the fact that you have COLUMNS feature turned on in MTEXT but you are not really using columns?
