Mouse and Command line with Current Window

Hi All,
We are having an issue with AutoCad Lt2004. When you put in the command L enter, (or other command) the current working window is deselected (ie greyed out) and I have to click once to get the window back and then click again to select my point on the drawing.

I have so far tried upgrading keyboard and mouse drivers and a different keyboard and mouse. I have also re-installed several times, including clearing the registry of all references to Autodesk and AutoCAD. Both PC's are running WinXP Prof.

Any help greatly appreciated.

This started coming up this year with Lt2004: your Windows or other apps
have installed something that is stealing focus away. Try a search and see
what solutions, if any, got posted.

There is nothing in LT2004 to fix this, it's a 'dead' product with no chance
of ever being patched or updated or fixed.

I seem to have solved the issue by uninstalling IE7.

Oh, I should add: if you are wanting IE7's tab features, consider a free
add-on to IE6 called Avant Browser or Maxthon Browser: they just sit on top
of IE6 but behave like IE7. Both are free.
