More on Aerial Photo Import

THanks for all your help! It appears that Autodesk Product Support is correct, and that OLE is not functioning on my computer. Unfortunately, the MS link you provided didn't work on my computer, because it says to use MS Photo Editor, which I don't have, and MS Picture It, which i do have, didn't work (nor did Adobe Illustrator). When I exited the programs, it just exited, doing nothing at all. Meanwhile, OLE objects cannot be imported into Word or Wordpad. Is this something I need a professional programmer to fix? I've never used this function before.
I then tried the Insert-Ole object--Create new, and tried both Illustrator and Picture It programs, but I got a message that said: "Failed to create object. Make sure object is entered in system registry." Does this mean that ACLT does not recognize these programs at all?? They appear to be working fine on my computer.
I also tried the Windows clipboard. Although I can cut and paste from/to Adobe Illustrator to Word and other programs, I cannot do it to ACLT. The paste special function brings in a gray toned box under metafile or bmps, and says "no translatable objects" for the other categories. The Enhanced Metafile brings in a colored negative image (unusable).
I also tried saving the photo as a windows metafile in the export function of Illustrator, but the import metafile in ACLT said "No translatable objects"!
Then I found that I could export the photo in Illustrator to an Autocad .dwg file, and this actually worked! It's a weird scale, but I guess I can probably work with it...
I've also downloaded the Slingshot program, but haven't yet set it up, or tried to use it. Thanks for the tip! NEVERTHELESS-- I'm concerned that I cannot do what other folks can do with this program, and that either I have bugs in my computer, and/or ACLT is not functioning correctly on my computer. I'm not sure that I even want this program, since it has cost me SO MUCH time not working...especially since I've had several other problems brought on by installing ACLT onto my computer. (I have a Windows 2000, 1.3 ghz, 512 mb RAM computer from DELL, so I shouldn't be having these problems.) If any of you know what my next steps should be, please let me know. Otherwise, I think I'll return the program, and possibly get a professional to look at my machine. THanks again.

IT would appear you have a bad install of LT, or something. If all else
fails, and you are at that point, a full uninstall and reinstall of LT2002
as directed by HELP in 2002 would be the next thing to try.

Do the uninstall per directions, restart your PC, log in as ADMIN and
nothing less. Terminate all background running applications, including Anti
Virus and any type of Crash proof software, network connections, etc.
Everything. Now start the full install of LT2002. When you are done, install
Service Patch 1 for it too.
