Hey, I have a 2D line projection that was created from a 3D model. The
issue I have is that this drawing is still huge, even after purging. Isn't
there a way to simplify the linework? Any ideas would be helpful.

Try deleting layer filters.
Try WBLOCKing out only model content to a new DWG file.
After that, it will be as small as it will ever get.
