MFC45LOC.DLL

ACLT2002 crashes on program start with message can't find mfc45loc.dll in windows/system folder (mfc45.dll is in the folder). I'm running win98 second edition. It was working - now its not. I cannot find a reference in Knowledgebase on autodesk or M/Soft web sites. What does the file do? What is the fix? can anyone help me please?

What changed on your system, or network? Find out, even if it is trivial, it
may be important.

it's a stand alone system, I think between one use and the next of ACLT my son added kazza media with all iits P2P networking for the web. Even so what is this file and why can I not find it on other machines? Is it LT or windows specific?

Kazaa downloads tend to also introduce unpleasant programs that
don't play nice.
Try a repair re-install of LT, and if that does not work, a full
un-install and re-install of LT: see help for specific
instructions.

Thanks Dean, but still no go.
I tried repair, I tried removal and reinstalayion, I removed kazaa and all the programs it identified with it like P2P networking and did the above again - no go.
It occured to me that the Norton vius checker did a software update so I disabled norton and tried reinstalling, still no go. Any other ideas? with Norton off I get the following in a fault window, does it mean anything?
ACLT caused an invalid page fault in
