has anyone had any experience with ASVIC Engineering’s mech-Q. It is a group of mechanical drawing utilities and also includes a lisp enabler. Is this enabler similar to the one from drcauto. Any feed back, advantage or disadvantage of asvic enabler over drcauto???

I am anserwing a portion of my own question. I see on the drcauto web page that mech-q is a software development partner with mech-q. I assume that the lisp enabler is the same ???

You are correct. Asvic is one of more than a dozen OEM Partners using our
LISP in LT technology.

As these developers finish their ports and make their applications
available, we will add their names to our list.

Sadly I have had many negative experiences with this firm and its products.

First you should know they  misrepresent the fuctionality of the software.

Specifically the claims to do structural steel and sqewed members !

Then after they sell you the software and you find out it dose not do what it is supposed to they will tell you that that functionalty will be in next release !!

This company is in Australia and they will not refund to international users.

BUYER BE WARE of  MECH Q

In case you do not know the proprietor of drcauto died several years ago and with this the company has been folded into another vendor.

I do have to say, even though I rarely understood what he had to say, you know the accent and all that, I do miss being looked down upon from time to time...
