Hi, Not sure if this has been asked before but we are having an issue with copy and pasteing in our autodesk LT, We are a convention center and have several plots ready for copy and paste to get added into our rooms. Unfortunately it seems we have hit a limit, There is no error given nor is there any feed back from the program. We copy the section we want to, then when we go to paste and paste it nothing apears. We are using a fairly large plot consisting of several meeting rooms and exhibit hall space as well as sets of chairs and tables. I was wondering if anyone has had something similar and solved the issue.
Thanks,
Jordan
Where are you copying the objects from? From the same drawing or from somewhere else? Are the objects blocks by any chance, or annotative? When you make the copy, are you copying with a basepoint and then placing with that basepoint? Have you confirmed that your pasted objects aren't coming into the drawing somewhere else? Are all the scales the same?
There could be a number of reasons why this is happening. We might need more information to figure it out.
Dave.
Two things:
1. Under OPTIONS, Selection tab - Set Object selection limit for display of grips to 32,767 (max it can be.)
2. a.Next time you start CAD and before you Copy / Paste try opening OPTIONS and then just hit OK at the bottom.
b. Or if you are not having any luck during this current session give this a try.
If your Copy / Paste works now please let me know.

If your originating file contains unsupported AEC content your current LT version cannot handle, it will leave those objects behind. Setting the Grips limit to a higher number does nothing.
Did you look at your Windows Clipboard for content? AutoCAd cannot paste what's not there too.
Since copy/paste is not the end of choices in AutoCAD, try the other options: WBLOCK out what you need to create a new file then INSERT that new file into your destination files.
Or INSERT the entire source file into the Destination file, explode and delete what is not needed.
Or INSERT your destination file into your source file, explode, import the layouts if any, and proceed too.
