LT2002 & LT2000

I just installed 2002LT and left 2000LT on the computer. This was the
prechecked radio button on the install screen. My question is this: Is it
better to overwrite (upgrade) 2000LT or install 2002LT in its own directory?
Is OK to delete 2000LT without any problems to 2002LT?
Thanks in advance.
I have received a tremendous amount of tips from this group.

I don't recall how cleanly LT2000 can be removed in this case, but I
would always recommend a clean install over an overwrite/upgrade. If
you bought the upgrade version of LT2002, I'd recommend saving any
customized menu files to a safe location, then either a reformat or a
complete removal of all AutoCAD versions, then do a fresh install. If I
recall correctly, with LT95 the only thing that was required to be on
your computer was a valid aclt.exe. I think I remember reading that the
latest upgrades only ask to see the CD for a valid previous version, but
don't quote me on that.

My experience is that there can be enough junk left by previous versions
to cause some operational problems.

LT2000 did not need to be on your machine in order to install LT2002: but
now that you have both, removing LT2000 will affect your LT2002. Doing a
repair install of LT2002 after you remove LT2000 should help fix it. Back up
your custom files first.
