LT 2009 Student and new computer

Need advice. I'm getting a new desktop. I use Lt 2009 Student. Will it work with Windows 8? Should I get Windows 7 and install the 32bit or 64bit version. Most of my programs are older and I don't have the money for a new touch screen with the new computer, so I'd really prefer Windows 7. Any advice folks?

If you are a current and legit student you can get all the new versions of AutoCAD for free. At no cost to you.
2009 will fail to install in win8.
Do not get Win 8.1 yet.
Win7 is fine too if you can still get it.

Pendean, Thanks for the reply. I tend to agree on waiting on Windows
8.0,8.1. Who know where they will go next. I'm not a student, just and
old retired person. I have an older version of Lt that I bought from a
student on ebay. I can still get Windows 7 and I think I will. I'm
assuming the 32bit version. Anyone know if LT 2009 will work on 64 bit?

You have illegal software, so I'm not going to respond to your question. You also got scammed by that 'student', since student software is free and has been for a long time.

Retirement=free software, there are lots of good CAD programs that are 'autocad' compatible and you can use 'legit' for whatever purpose.
